Short trip back to Ventura

We finally got the ok to leave for our winter home in Mission. I had been invited to my dear friend Arlene Miro's 75th birthday party and before we headed to the Rio Grande Valley, I made a quick trip to Ventura, CA. for Arlene's Awesome 75th birthday bash.

Doctor of Education, mother of seven, world traveler, and now 75 years old. I couldn't miss this party.

The party was held on Ventura Harbor on a paddleboat.  It was decorated beautifully.

Great time was had by all.

Good friend Eva Leckman and her husband. Many other friends Arlene and I shared, but I spent time socializing rather than taking pictures.  You just need to know it was an event I was glad  I didn't miss.

Claire Elise Wilson arrives:))

On January 18th, 2012, Claire Elise Wilson entered the world, 6lbs 2 ozs and 19 inches long.

I know I'm getting old but look at this doctor.  She is on the left.  She has got to be 18 years old.

Long hard day for Dad and Claire.

Both Claire's brother and sister were crazy about her from the start.

Grandma and Grandpa are in love.

A new addition to the Wilson Clan.

Going home outfit and my first Texas bow.

Uncle Scotty comes to call.

Grandchildren!! God's greatest gift.

Bob's Surgery

Bob ready for surgery.  When Dr. Kukish asked him if he had any questions he said two. Can I lift my grandson? Yes. How soon can I drive to Mission?  You've asked me that 4 times before, it is still 10 days.

A true blue hair!

Surgery went long, he had a 75% blockage, but all went real well.  While he was in recovery Heather, Scot, and I head to Heather's home about 5 minutes away to check on the children.  Craig was in charge.  And walk the dog.

Asher didn't want to walk, so Scot pushed him in his car.

Addie helped by walking Bailey.  Notice the choke hold.

Bailey didn't want to be held or his picture taken.  But as always Addie was in control.

Bob was in ICU overnight and got to go home the next morning.  This is his scar.

Addie came to visit him after he got home.  She brought him Cars 2 DVD to watch and painted him a picture while she was visiting.  She wouldn't get too close, she thought his scar was scary.
