On the Road Again. Baltimore Aquarium

We returned to Baltimore, Maryland, to pick up our motor home.  Bob doesn't like to drive on the weekend so we were staying on in Baltimore over the weekend.  We hadn't really done any sightseeing here.  The campground was so nice it was hard to leave.  But Bob really wanted to see the National Aquarium in Baltimore.

The waterfront area in Baltimore is well developed.  We, I should say I, had no expectations for Baltimore, but we were favorably impressed both with the city of Baltimore and the beautiful countryside.

Awesome water feature at the entrance.  A little pricey, $30 for seniors, but we felt it was well worth it.

The aquarium was divided into different habituates.  You walked up and around the building. A new exhibit was being added.  It was a coral reef and they were gradually adding fish, while we were there.

We saw lots of turtles.

Colorful fish.

Some strange fish. Check out the eyes of some and the nose on others.

And some fancy fish.

Even anemones.

Sea horses.

There were birds too.  Puffins my favorite.

Rays.

Monkeys from the rain forest in Australia.

And a few things I can't classify, but too beautiful to leave out.

They also had a dolphin show.

We enjoyed our day and I do mean all day, we were there from about 10 till 3. By the way, parking was $24.

President George Bush's Library

After a day of rest from grandchildren and a late night at the Rangers game, we headed to the recently opened George Bush Library.

In the courtyard with two Georges.

There is a free audio tour, which was great. The tour started with Bush's campaigns.

Inauguration picture of George and Laura.

Baseballs from little league games played on the South Lawn.
George's first love.

Laura's first love, reading and books.  She was a librarian.

A tribute to 9/11. Gurters  from the World Trade Center.

Work with other countries for freedom.

The dogs at the White House.

Bob, as President, in the Oval Office.

They had a Decision Point exhibit, where you and a group of people are offered scenarios that Bush faced as President.  You then were given choices of decisions and a limited amount of time to make your decision.

News highlights.

Gifts from other countries.

Even the dogs, got a gift.

Beautiful jewelry.

We had lunch at Cafe 43. Great lunch and better company.  My honey!

Enjoyed the day, I'm sure we will tour this again.

Ranger Game with Scot on July 4th

After, sending the grandchildren off to the Wilson's, the next day we met up with Scot for a Ranger Game.

We had a late lunch at Hooligan's and took a shuttle from there to the ballpark.

We had great seats.

They had a patriotic program from 4th of July.

It was a great game and the Rangers beat the Mariners. With a sold out crowd.

After the game there were fireworks.

Great Day and late night.  We got home at 1:15 am.
