Last Beautiful Home of Natchez: Rosalie

Serving as Union Headquarters during the War Between the States, the halls and mirrors of Rosalie echo a past of gunfire and galloping horses.  Many of the original furnishings and antiques remain, as some were buried at the time.  Rosalie is now the State Headquarters of the Mississippi Daughters of the American Revolution.

No photos inside.  Very good tour. This home overlooked the Mississippi.

 Front gardens.

This bell was rung when the Yankees were seen coming up or down the Mississippi

Another beautiful home.  Believe me when I say, I didn't see them all and am already looking for to a return trip.
