Brunch at the Pirates' House and The Railroad Museum

We were told not to miss the Pirates' House brunch, so we headed there in the early afternoon on Saturday.
Savannah's famous Pirates House is located on one of the most historic spots in Georgia.  It is here that Trustees Garden, the first experimental garden in America, was located.

Next, The Railroad Museum. Bob and Chico were excited to go here. Jackie and Jacki not so much.  You will notice in the future we separate by interest.  This complex is considered one of the most complete antebellum railroad complexes in the southern United States.  It is part of a historical district included in the National Register of Historic Places.

We started our tour by taking a train ride, switching tracks in the roundhouse.

It was a short ride, but we've never circled around in a roundhouse. The boys wanted to try a handcart.

We saw lots of trains.

We also saw equipment.

We saw a furnace and Chico went inside to look up through the top.

They had a large model train layout of the city of Savannah.

Time to say goodbye to Savannah.  We have loved you.
