Aerial Tramway at Cannon Mountain

We next headed to the Aerial Tramway.

We traveled on an 80 passenger cable car to the summit 4,080 feet in under ten minutes. On one side was New Hampshire, on the other was Vermont and straight ahead was Maine.

From the top you can see the ski lift.

When we returned to the bottom, we checked out this Old Peabody Chair.  This was in use from 1962 through 1999.  Bob says he's sure he's used one in Colorado.

Bode Miller has won two overall and six discipline World Cup Championship.

Bode Miller was born in 1977 just a few miles from here and skied at Cannon Mountain. By his early thirties, he was considered America's greatest alpine skier.  He won 5 Olympic medals.
